Patch Notes v1.0.265

So much room for activities!

Room Tools: More Room for the Table

Desktop

  • Tool settings now open in a dock on the right side of the room instead of a panel at the bottom. The table keeps its full height while a tool is open.
  • This covers Grid, Zones, Layers, Text, Snap Points, Stickers, Marker, Room Options, Player Options, and Save & Sync.
  • Settings are laid out in a single column in the dock so they are easier to scan.
  • The toolbar button for the open tool now shows a close mark, so you can tell which tool is open and close it with one click.
  • When you close a tool, the side panel goes back to how you had it.

Phones (landscape)

  • An open tool now shows as a slim bar above the toolbar with the tool's name, a Settings button, and Done.
  • Settings opens the tool's options on the right, using the spare width.
  • Tools you use directly on the table, like the marker, start collapsed so the table stays usable. Tools that are only settings start open.
  • The room remembers whether you expanded or collapsed each tool.

Shared Projects: Co-Owners

You can now share a project with other Pro designers. A co-owner works on your project as if it were theirs: they can edit it, build decks, save table setups and host playtests from it.

Inviting a co-owner

  • Open the project, expand the new Owners section, and invite someone by the email they sign in with.
  • They get an email, and the invite waits on their My Projects page with Accept and Decline.
  • A project can have up to 5 co-owners. Co-ownership needs Pro on both sides.

What stays with you

  • You remain the project's creator. Only you can delete the project, invite or remove co-owners, and import from or sync with The Game Crafter.
  • Your project's files stay in your storage. When a co-owner adds an image from their own files, it is copied into the project, so nothing depends on their account.
  • A shared project uses your custom masks.

Working together

  • Shared projects show up in every owner's My Projects.
  • See who else is on the project, and which card they are editing, right on the project page.
  • When someone saves a change, you get a note naming it, with Show changes to bring your view up to date. Nothing refreshes under you while you work.
  • Two people can edit at once without losing each other's work. Only what you changed is saved. If you both changed the same thing, you see both versions and choose Keep theirs or Use mine.
  • When an owner joins a room another owner opened for the project, they join as co-host.

Leaving and access

  • A co-owner can leave at any time, and you can remove a co-owner from the Owners section. The table setups, replays and print layouts they made stay with the project.
  • If your Pro ends, co-owners lose access until you renew. If a co-owner's Pro ends, only they lose access.

Dice Update

Every die looks like itself

  • Each die now has its own shape, so you can tell them apart at a glance: triangle D4, square D6, diamond D8, kite D10, pentagon D12 and faceted D20.
  • The selection highlight follows each die's real outline.
  • The Dice / RNG sidebar shows every die in its real shape.

New dice

  • D10 (0-9): a ten-sided die numbered 0 to 9.
  • D%: the percentile die, numbered 00 to 90.
  • D2 and D3 in the sidebar.
  • Custom DX: a numbered die with any number of sides from 2 to 100.
  • Blank DX: a die whose faces you name, like Sun, Rain, Snow and Wind. It's saved to your project's components, so you can reuse it and add a picture to any face later.
  • DnD set: all seven tabletop RPG dice in one color, placed side by side and already selected.

Percentile rolls

  • Roll a D% and a D10 (0-9) together to roll a D100. Each die shows its own face, and the room announces the total. 00 and 0 make 100.

Setting faces

  • Set Face in the right-click menu lists each face by what it shows, like 0 to 9 or 00 to 90.
  • On a D10 (0-9) or a D%, number keys pick the face that shows that number.
  • Dice with more than 20 sides get a box to type the face instead of a long list.

Playtest analytics

  • Undoing a roll no longer counts as a roll.
  • Roll analytics tightened up.

Probability calculators

  • New quick-add buttons for D10 (0-9) and D%.
  • Dice from your project load with their real faces, including D2, D3 and custom dice.
