This is What's New, my running changelog. Everything I add, improve, or fix around here lands here, newest at the top. Each entry has a version number, date, and full summary, and the New and Fix badges make it easy to tell features from fixes at a glance. Got an idea you'd like to see? The Suggestion Board is the place to post it or vote one up.

v0.1.65

New Component - The Spinner!

Spinner New

  1. New Editable Generic & Custom Spinner component available!
  2. Customizable sections with labels, images and colors
  3. Click to spin with animated result display

Drag to Hand Indicator New

  1. When the Hand feature is enabled and your hand is empty, a subtle "Drag to Hand" indicator now appears at the bottom of the table to remind you the feature is active
  2. Automatically hides once you have cards in hand
  3. Desktop only

Drawing Tool Panels Auto-Close Improved

  1. The Marker, Snap Points, and Zone drawing panels now automatically close when you click their activate button, keeping the table unobstructed while drawing

Rotation Simplified Improved

  1. Component rotation has been streamlined to 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° — separate portrait/landscape orientation settings have been removed in favor of unified rotation control
v0.1.63

Deck & Stack Search

Deck/Stack Search Feature

New You can now search inside any deck or token stack without drawing blindly from the top.

  1. Right-click any deck or token stack and select Search Deck / Search Stack to open the search modal
  2. Type to filter items by name in real time
  3. Each item shows a thumbnail (card art or token color), name, and face-down indicator
  4. Select individual items by clicking their checkbox, or use Select All / Clear to bulk-select across the filtered results
  5. Send selected items directly To Table or To Hand (added to your private hand, respecting your hand auto-flip setting)
  6. The selection counter in the toolbar updates as you check items so you always know how many you're pulling
v0.1.59

Marker Tool

Players can now draw directly on the table using the New Marker tool. Select the marker icon in the toolbar to start drawing freehand strokes over any game component — cards, tokens, boards, tiles — or anywhere on the open table surface. All strokes are visible to every player in real time.

The marker toolbar lets you adjust stroke color and thickness before drawing. Strokes scale correctly with the table zoom level, so they stay anchored to whatever you drew on regardless of how zoomed in or out players are.

Pressing Escape exits the marker tool. A dedicated Clear Markers button removes all strokes from the table at once. Touch support is included for tablet and touchscreen devices.

v0.1.52

Snap Point & Rotation Polish

Snap Points

  1. New Edit Snap Points mode — drag and interact with existing snap points without switching into placement mode. Enabled by default for hosts.
  2. Snap point hover now shows a clean tooltip with the attached component name, world coordinates, and tags.
  3. The auto-rotation badge on canvas snap points now displays as a tiny rotating card matching the configured angle, so you can see exactly how a card will land at a glance.
  4. Added Align Row and Align Col buttons to the snap point editor — instantly snaps the selected point to the same Y or X position as the nearest other snap point.
  5. Removed the right-click context menu from snap points. The Remove button is now in the editor modal instead.

Rotation Dial

  1. The rotation picker now shows a card shape with a pip marker instead of a crosshair/arrow, so the preview matches exactly how your component will appear on the table.
  2. Dial card size increased for easier reading.
  3. All 24 tick marks (every 15°) are now visible on the dial — including cardinal, diagonal, and minor intervals.

v0.1.50

Session Replays

Session Replays New

Playtest sessions are now recorded and can be watched back in full. Every card draw, piece movement, dice roll, flip, and hand action is captured and replayed exactly as it happened.

After being enabled for your setup, replays are created automatically when starting a room from a saved setup (paid subscribers). After a session ends, find your replays on the Setups or Playtest page.

Replay Controls

  1. Watch at 0.5×, 1×, 2×, 4×, or 8× speed
  2. Scrub to any point with the timeline bar
  3. Player hands tracked and shown in a side panel
  4. Pan and zoom the table freely during playback

Replays give you a second look at how players actually interacted with your game, where they hesitated, what they drew first, how the table evolved over time.

v0.1.35

Mobile Support - Playtest Room

Mobile support has been added!

Touch Navigation New

  1. One-finger drag on empty space → pan
  2. Pinch → zoom toward pinch center

Selecting & Moving New

  1. Tap to select, double-tap for primary action (flip/roll/draw)
  2. Long press (~½ sec) → multi-select mode (device vibrates). Tap more objects to add them
  3. Drag any selected object to move the group
  4. Floating Action Bar
  5. Appears when an object is selected. Works on the full multi-selection:
  6. Flip · Roll/Draw · Rotate · Hand · ⋯ More (context menu)

Other New

  1. Landscape orientation enforced on phones
  2. Circle button (bottom-right) toggles the toolbar
  3. Help modal shows touch controls on mobile instead of keyboard shortcuts
v0.1.29

Admin Mode, Refreshed Player UI, Bug Fixes

Playtest Room - Core Interactions

Multi-Select Improved

Players marquee-select or shift-click multiple objects options (flip, rotate, etc) have been expanded.

Auto-Snap on Resize Improved

Objects automatically snap to their grid/snap targets when resized, keeping layouts clean without manual repositioning.

Bug Fixes Fixed

Lots of bug fixes.

Playtest Room - UI & Panels

Player Panel New

A persistent left-side player panel now shows all players in the room with their color, name, hand count (when enabled), and action buttons, no longer requiring the dropdown for player visibility.

Collapse Player Panel Rows New

Player rows in the left panel can be collapsed to save space during play.

Edit Your Name & Color In-Room Improved

Your own row in the left panel now has a pencil icon for inline renaming (Enter/Escape supported) and a color swatch to change your player color, without needing to open the top-right dropdown.

Hand Count Visibility New

The "Show Hand Counts" room setting now correctly displays each player's hand card count in the left panel and respects per-player visibility rules.

Open Hand Viewer New

The host can enable Open Hands mode, allowing any player to view any other player's hand directly from the player panel or dropdown.

Playtest Room - Object & Spawn System

Component Editor Parity Improved

The in-room component editor now supports the same fields and options available in the main component editor, eliminating discrepancies between room-created and pre-built components.

Random Colors New

New option when spawning components to assign a random color from the configured palette rather than requiring manual selection.

Playtest Room - Blind Mode

Blindfold Hides Action Log Improved

Pressing B to enter Blind Mode now automatically closes and hides the Action Log panel (including its toggle tab) so the player cannot see events while blindfolded. The log restores when the blindfold is removed.

Playtest Room - Host Controls

Host Admin Mode New

A new Admin Mode toggle in Room Options (under "Host Privileges") gives the original host elevated visibility: all hidden zone objects are visible, hand counts are shown for every player regardless of global settings (amber-tinted), and a View Hand button is available for all players at all times.

v0.1.14

Hand Overhaul

Hand System New

  1. Drag any card or token into the hand area at the bottom of your screen to pick it up
  2. Drag a card out of your hand upward onto the table to play it — it becomes a live draggable object immediately
  3. Rearrange cards within your hand by dragging left or right — a gap indicator shows the insertion point
  4. Face-down cards picked up to hand keep their identity private — the action log only shows "a face-down card" to other players
  5. Other players see a blurred ghost of your card while you drag it from your hand to the table

Hand Settings Panel New

  1. Hand Scale — resize your hand cards from 50% to 200%
  2. X Offset — shift your entire hand left or right from center
  3. Y Offset — raise or lower your hand from the bottom edge of the screen
  4. Auto Flip — automatically flip cards face-up or face-down whenever they enter your hand (None / Flip Up / Flip Down)
  5. All hand settings are saved per-browser and persist across sessions
  6. Reset All button restores all hand settings to defaults
v0.1.9

Playtest Room Updates

Controls

Improved Preview Key Changed — From V to Space

Improved Right Click + Drag — Now Pans the table.

Zones

New Flip Zone type — Cards or tokens dropped into a Flip zone automatically toggle face (front↔back). Great for reveal areas or face-down discard piles.

New Auto-Flip on Drop — Any zone type can now force dropped cards/tokens to Face Up or Face Down on arrival. Hand zones respect this too — cards arrive already revealed when set to Face Up.

New Zone Free-Resize — Right-click any zone and choose Resize Zone to drag its corners to any size. Respects snap-to-grid when enabled.

Snap Points

New Auto-Flip on Snap — Snap points can now be configured to flip a card or token to a specific face when something snaps onto them. Edit a snap point to access the option.

v0.1.8

View Rotating and Scaling Pass

Rotate Your Table View New

Press E to spin your personal view of the table 90° clockwise. This lets you sit at the North, East, South, or West seat without anyone else seeing the change. Each press rotates the view in the same direction and cycles back to North on the fourth press. Press 0 at any time to return to the default view.

Drag selection, object movement, and all mouse interactions automatically adapt to whichever seat you are in, so everything behaves correctly regardless of your rotation.

Real-World Component Sizes New

Components can now be assigned a physical size in inches or millimeters. When a component with a known size is placed on the table, the tabletop automatically scales it to accurate real-world proportions relative to other pieces. A poker card appears poker card sized. A board appears board sized. No more guessing what “scale 1.0” represents.

You can set dimensions while creating or editing any component using the Physical Size field. The Scale Override field still exists as a fallback if no physical size is defined.

Co-Host Role New

Hosts can now promote any player to Co-Host from the participants panel. Co-hosts receive full host privileges for that session. They can move locked objects, manage zones, kick players, and control the table just like the host.

Roles can be promoted or revoked at any time. Participants display color coded role labels in the list.

Dashboard Redesign Improved

The dashboard now serves as a functional command center. It highlights open playtest action items, projects that have never been playtested, projects with incomplete profiles, and provides quick links to start a session or create a project. This reduces the need to navigate through multiple menus.

Grid Settings Now Persist Improved

Grid type, grid size, snap-to-grid, hex orientation, and grid visibility are now saved in the room state. These settings automatically restore the next time the room is opened, removing the need to reconfigure the grid each session.
