Public Game Pages
A game page is a public home for one of your games. Share its link anywhere: people can read about the game, play it in their browser, and book a seat at your next public playtest.
Turning It On
Open your project and click Game page: off in the buttons at the top. It changes to Game page: public, and anyone with the link can see the page. Click View to open it, then Share game to copy its link. Click the switch again to turn the page off.
While the page is off, only the game's owners can open it, with a note saying so. A page that is on is listed in search engines; a page that is off is not.
What the Page Shows
The page is built from what you already have. Fill these in on Edit Project and they appear here:
- The backdrop and logo images, the name and the short description.
- Players, play time and age, plus genre, theme, primary mechanic and edition.
- Your three highlights and the full description.
- Your website and BoardGameGeek link.
It also lists, by itself:
- Play: every public table setup of the game, each with a Play button that opens it in the browser, and any public room being played right now, with Join (and Watch, when the room allows spectators).
- Upcoming playtests: your public scheduled playtests that have not finished yet, each linking to its page to book a seat. Private playtests never appear.
- Honors: competitions the game placed in or was a finalist of, once the results are published, and community favorite wins.
- Designer: you, linked to your public designer profile if it is on.
Private setups, private playtests and anything else you have not shared stay off the page.
Tip
Your public designer profile links each game to its game page while the page is on. See Designer Profile.
