Quick Start Guide
Get your first playtest running in minutes
1 Create Your Project

Log in to your account
If you don't have one, sign up - it's free!

Click "Projects" in the navigation
This is your game design workspace

Click "+ New Project"
Give your game a name and description

Save your project
You're ready to add components!
2 Add Components
- Open your project and click "Components" tab
- Click "+ Add Component"

Choose component type
Cards, Tokens, Dice, Boards, Rulebooks, or Other

Fill in the details
• Name your component
• Set quantity (how many you need)
• Add images (optional but recommended)
• For cards: group them with a deck name

Repeat for all your game pieces
You can edit or add more later
Tip: Don't worry about being perfect! You can always edit components later. Even just adding component names is enough to start playtesting.
3 Create a Playtest Room
- Click "Realtime Playtest" in the navigation

Find the project you want to test
All your projects are listed with their details

Click "Launch Playtest Room"
You'll be taken directly to the virtual tabletop with your project's components loaded!
4 Invite Players
Once you're in the room:

Look at the top of the screen for your room code
It's a 6-character code like "ABC123"

Click the room code to copy the invite link
Or share just the code

Share with your playtesters
• Via Discord, Slack, email, text, etc.
• Players don't need an account!
• They just enter the code and their name
Pro Tip: Use voice chat (Discord, Zoom) alongside the virtual tabletop for the best experience!
5 Start Playing!
Basic Controls:
Spawn Components
Click any component in the left sidebar to add it to the table
Move Objects
Click and drag any piece to move it around
Rotate
Press Q (90°) or E (45°)
Flip Cards
Press F to flip selected card
Draw Cards
Select a deck, press R to draw
Preview
Press V to see large view
Tip: Everyone can see everyone else's cursor moving in real-time - it's like playing together at the same table!

Common Questions
Do my players need accounts?
No! Players can join anonymously by just entering the room code and their name.
Can I test without components?
Yes! The system includes generic dice, tokens, cubes, and more to get started immediately.
How many players can join?
As many as you want! The system scales to handle any number of concurrent players.
What happens when I close the room?
All players are disconnected. You can collect feedback from the session and create a new room anytime.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet, but the web interface works on tablets! For best experience, use a desktop or laptop.
